The official website for the ongoing TV anime Boogiepop and Others based on Kouhei Kadono's Boogiepop
light novel series announced on January 21 that the novel's fifth volume Boogiepop Overdrive: The King of
Distortion (February 1999 release) and sixth volume Boogiepop at Dawn (May 1999) will also get their TV
anime adaptations.
The Madhouse-animated TV anime premiered with its first two episodes on January 4, 2019. It covered
the novel's first volume Boogiepop and Others (February 1998) in its first three episodes, and has been
telling the VS Imaginator arc from the novel's second and third volumes: Boogiepop Returns: VS Imaginator
Part 1 and Part 2 (released simultaneously in August 1998) since its fourth.
Boogiepop at Dawn will be animated into four episodes. As the TV anime's 10th to 13th episodes, the four
will be aired all at once for two hours from February 23 on AT-X, then followed by other stations. How and
when the Boogiepop Overdrive: The King of Distortion anime is distributed is currently unknown.
