beep* *beep* *beep*... Responding to the loud and annoying sound of the alarm ruining a good sleep, a hand sluggishly reaches towards it and... *beep* *bee-* *crack* Smacked it with a hammer beside it. If one were to look again, maybe having a hammer near your desk isn't strange for some people but the reason for this time is quite unusual. Why? Simple... *-p* *BEEP* *BEEP* The hamer was an attempt to silence this certain persistent alarm clock. There wasn't any snooze or stop buttons, so another method of shutting it off was necessary. The alarm still continues, this time, louder. Even after another barrage of hammer smacking rage that set it to pieces, the alarm still continues to beep. "Annoying!" The boy got up and brought the alarm clock to the bathroom where it still continued beeping even as it's parts are falling apart. *flush* After a few muffled beeps, the sound was finally gone. *** In a different household, there was the same alarm clock. *beep* *beep* *beep* With a loud repetitive noise, the alarm clock once again continues to disturb mornings from our blissful slumer. But there was no response. The alarm has been going off for quite some time and no one seems to be disturbed. That's more likely because the person present is already awake... before the alarm started. A single girl was in the corner of her bed, cooped inside her blanket. She has been glaring intensely at the clock for some time now but didn't do anything. Perhaps she was on the verge on giving up on the alarm? "Hu... ngry..." *GRUMBLE* "There, there" After patting her stomach to calm it, she looked back at the clock. She wasn't slightly disturbed by it, she's much more bothered with her grumbling tummy. "Isn't it time for breakfast yet?" Like a hungry predator, she stared more intently at the clock as it was the only thing making a sound in the room. Unable to sate her hunger, she silently apologized in herself and went for it. After a short while, the beeping sound stopped. *** On a breezy morning on the way to school, students walk with their peers and happily chat with each other as they head up the road. On the other hand, there were two that had faces as if they just had to write a 100 page essay within a day only to find out it wasn't going to be graded. "Woah. What happened to you guys? It's as if exactly as said before my line!" Their friend, Kiryu, who just happened to walk pass by them made a lazy reaction. "Well, the president just keeps on making us use those junk! Sometimes, it's just pathetic but this time is just way too stupid!" Complaining on something that seemed to be obvious to their group, Kotoharu, clenched his fist as he was close to punching the smirk off Kiryu's face. "An alarm clock that doesn't stop no matter how much you break it? That's just pointless!" Kotoharu continues to complain like an old man that just got fired. "Calm down now. Even the description is insulting you already." Making comments with a stiff smile, Kiryu tries to be funny not noticing that he isn't helping. "Hey!" "Anyway, you guys were the same right? So how come you look like your fine?" Kotoharu finally recollects himself and asked. "Why you ask? I just drained it's batteries of course." Kiryu answers like it was common sense. "What?! I had to smash it to bits! Everything! Until I decided to flush it down the toilet." "The toilet? Really?" Kiryu retorts trying not to laugh. "Shut it! Shino, how'd it go with you?" Kotoharu, unable to stand his friend, directed the topic to the girl that was quiet since everything started. "Huh? Oh. It was nothing. The batteries died out at 4 am..." She dazed off when the two were talking as if she had other worries. "What?! You too?! Why did you have the same idea?" "Weren't you listening? The alarm won't stop once it sets off no matter what you do, is what the prez said and it sure did." Kiryu started explaining to the oblivious Kotoharu. "But no matter how you look at it, it's still used batteries to run, in other words, stored energy and didn't have any generators, so it would stop at some point. Then all you have to do is set it off the day before until it shuts up since that would waste more power." "Huh? Then how did you sleep?" "Are really that dumb? Just muffle it down with something or use ear plugs or listen to music while you sleep and let your usual alarm wake you. The prez said this was a test so you had to think of something regarding the situation. And your hammer tactic was just making you tired." Kiryu then stops with a scared look as if he just remembered it was his wife's birthday and didn't get her anything. "Ah." Not giving Kotoharu the time to move his face from his classmate to the cause... "KIRIYUUUU!!!!!" All of a sudden, the spot where Kiryu used to be standing on exploded along with a deadfening shockwave that push back the other two. "Guh. Here we go again." Kotoharu placed his hand on to his forehead not even caring to what just happened. "Mhm? What could it be this time?" On the other hand, Shino was just standing there as if the previous explosion was just a gust of wind. Meanwhile, Kiryu which could have been turned into a pile of dust, faces a new danger... "Good morning, Ki-ri-yu~" With clear killing intent flowing out, the other person with light yellow hair and short but cute features, smiled, she pulled on Kiryu's collar. "Care to explain." "Explain what?" Faced with certain doom, Kiryu tried to look away feeling cold sweat on his back. "Playing dumb huh?" Not missing a beat, she started to shake Kiryu's collar violently. "You bastard! I know you know! I can't sleep because of you!" "Ah. She started to strangle him." "This can't be good."
