Vic's Lab has worked with many talented people in the publishing process. The following are those who have worked with the company to deliver great content. They are listed in alphabetical order by last name.

Chad "Vic" Adams

Founder/owner

Vic has a master's degree in publishing with a focus on business and marketing. He has managed print publications since 2001, including books, magazines, and newspapers. He has always loved novels and wanted to publish books since he was 15 years old. He made that dream a reality when he founded Vic's Lab, LLC, in 2014.

Debbie Bishop

Book Designer

Debbie was involved in redesigning Reid Kemper's Vecto series. She is an author and award winning graphic designer, retoucher, and packaging specialist with over fifteen years of experience in strategic design and marketing for print and web. She designs books, web graphics, packaging, brochures, ads, posters, landing pages, banners, displays, trade show items and more. Debbie also formats books for Createspace, Kindle and print and has experience with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Power Point, Word, Dreamweaver, and WordPress. She has worked with Carl Macek, the producer of Robotech, on the novel War Eagles, and worked on the comic book series Black Tide.

Matthew Burling

Acquisitions Editor

Matthew has reviewed submissions to VicsLab and helped select Biako's The Everlasting: Eye of the Wise. He offers editing/proofreading services and has a master's degree. Throughout his educational and professional career, he has learned to write both in a professional and clear manner.

Elvis Esparago (vzilefreak)

Artist

Elvis has created character drawings and book cover art for the company. He is passionate creating anime artwork. His area of expertise is original character design with unique poses and designs. He also does dynamic composition for fight scenes and book cover art. He created original art for Project X Shoujo.

Rafael Fitzgerald (Arjay Eff)

Concept Artist

Rafael was a concept artist for Reid Kemper's stories and drew the VicsLab.com mascot. Rafael's love for art started as a child when he drew characters from cartoons such as G.I. Joe and Transformers. In his teens,  he attended the School of Visual Arts and Careers on the island of St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands. He then pursued digital media design in college. He continued his profession both in the corporate world and as a freelancer.

Adriane Hesselbein

Content Editor

Adriane has served as an editor for VicsLab. She is a writer, editor, proofreader, and ghost writer. She has ten years experience writing in the fantasy/adventure realm, creating more than eight full length works with two published titles. She has a bachelor's degree in creative writing and has ghostwritten a full sci-fi trilogy and fantasy novels.

Amy Li

Line Editor

Amy has helped Vic's Lab as a line editor. She has worked at an independent publishing house as an editor and has over a year of experience editing manuscript length projects. She has a bachelors degree in writing & rhetoric from Syracuse University and has worked on a wide range of books.

James Ryan

Book Designer

James is noted for designing the book cover for The Everlasting: Eye of the Wise by Biako. He has been working in graphics design and writing for more than 7 years and has completed more than 3,000 projects. He specializes in designing book covers, logos, packaging, advertisements and online banners.

Carol Thompson

Copy and Acquisitions Editor

Carol has assisted the company by reviewing books submitted to VicsLab.com and editing selected titles. She is a bestselling author, award-winning investigative reporter, writing coach, and certified editor. She is a member of the American Copy Editors Society (ACES) and has had over 250 satisfied clients in just over a year. She edits books using The Chicago Manual of Style, Merriam Webster, and Strunk and White. She specializes in fiction, young adult fiction, fantasy, and comic books. Also, she has worked as an acquisitions editor and is educated in fantasy, sci-fi, and paranormal editing, all highly specialized with their own editing style guide.

Paul Witcover

Content Editor

Paul served as an editor for Reid Kemper's book, Alpha Squad Vecto: Vengeance, which was the first original English light novel published by an American company. He is a writer and editor who has worked with Del Rey, Tor, Tokyopop, and DC Comics. He co-created the cult comic book series Anima and has served as the curator of the New York Review of Science Fiction reading series. He has written multiple books and has been a finalist for the Nebula, World Fantasy, James Tiptree, and Shirley Jackson awards. His work has also appeared on HBO.
