No one is talking

So I just took a look through the activity of members and it looks like there are more than a few people who are coming and going from this site and Vic themselves has also been active here.
But why is no one using the forums? Is everyone here just to do the once a year publishing contest and that’s it?
Just been curious as I pop on here every so often to see what’s happening on the forums and generally it’s either spam or silence.
