Triple Orb Academy Volume 2

A brief understanding of the world of Magic

Zeffernon:

Zeffernon is a parallel planet where many Mages called home. It’s a sanctuary for Mages to practice magic freely without fear of discrimination and prosecution from normal humans back on Earth. The world was first discovered by ancient Mages some rough seven thousand years ago. These same Mages soon chose to settle in this world, and started developing a small magical society. Due to the lack of globalization, the existence of Zeffernon was only kept to a selected few. It was only until the Great Pilgramage (381 AD to 1153 AD) that Mages from Earth began flocking to Zeffernon to escape magical purges. Regardless of Nationality, culture, and even religion, Mages from all corners of the old world were welcomed to settle down in this world to learn, study and be free to practice magic.

As time passed, more and more Mages were born on Zeffernon and began taking their identity as Zeffernon born Mages. Most of these Mages had never been to Earth before. They only heard of the old world, but never bothered dreaming of venturing back to the world since magic could not be practiced.

The local population of Mages on Zeffernon as of date was estimated to be at least twenty million. The vast majority of the twenty million were Zeffernon-born locals who knew their gifts to use magic from birth. The remaining minority few were the straggling few Mages who were born on Earth who realized their unusual gifts by the time they hit an uncertain age.

Otium:

Otium is the Magi state founded the Mages of old. It’s the primary social state that all Mages live under. This singular magi state was governed under the High Council, a tripartite government filled with three different council circles to represent each of the three colours of magic. The society within Otium is strongly hierarchal. Mages were given rank solely based on skill, ability and experience. Each rise in rank can only be achieved with a specific set of accomplishments.

The High Council:

The High Council is the governing authority of the society of Otium. It’s office is located in the High Tower at the very centre of the capital Infinitas. It is made up of three Councillor Circles each representing the three different colours of Magic. Each circle would handle political matters regarding their own colours of Magic. A single Councilor Circle is made up of eleven members: ten High Councillors, in addition of a Magister. Each High Councilor is in charge of a respective ministry, some of which are unique only to their own Colours of Magic.
