Light Novel Reviews/Critiques Now Offered

Review Service

VicsLab.com is partnering with C.S. Mills, who operates the light novel review website alightnovelist.com, to provide reviews or critiques of original English light novels (OELNs). This service, found at www.vicslab.com/product/book-review, costs $50 for the reviewer to read up to 50,000 words of a book and write a review or critique. Reviews for longer books cost extra, and premium members get 20 percent off. Previous reviews are found at alightnovelist.com/lnreviews.

C.S. Mills also started doing video reviews, which can be found at www.youtube.com/@Alightnovelist. Video reviews are made on a case-by-case basis, and it may cost extra.

For authors interested in this service, here is more info found at www.vicslab.com/product/book-review:
The opinions are of the reviewer, so they could be positive or negative. If the reviewer doesn't like your book, then you will receive a written critique with feedback to help you improve your book. However, if the reviewer mostly liked the book, you will receive a written review, in which you have the option of having it posted on alightnovelist.com and short reviews submitted on a few websites of your choosing, including Amazon. Since no book is perfect, the review may contain aspects of your book that the reviewer doesn't like. We only review books that are light novels, LitRPGs, or superhero books targeted to young adults.

'Cobalt Blue' Review

We're also supporting longtime member The A.C. Stories, who is the highest ranking member of VicsLab.com (other than @Vic). He posts a variety of anime and light novel content at www.youtube.com/@TheACStories. Recently, he reviewed "Cobalt Blue" by Zhiliang Tay on Kindle Vella at getbook.at/CobaltBlueVella. We appreciate his feedback and will make updates to the story before the ebook version is released.

Critiques Group

Feedback is important to authors, so we also created a Critiques group on VicsLab.com for premium members who want feedback on the first 1,000 words of their story, which is the most crucial part of a book. The group is temporarily open to all members for free, so post the first 1,000 words of your story in the group located at www.vicslab.com/groups/critiques to receive feedback. For those who regularly provide feedback on members' stories, please message @Vic for reward opportunities in appreciation for helping writers.
